• State Teachers' Retirement System
  CalSTRS’ primary responsibility is to provide retirement related benefits and services to teachers in public schools from kindergarten through community college.

  EdSource is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to clarify complex education issues and to promote thoughtful policy decisions about public school improvement.

• California Commission on Teaching
  Certification, Assignment and Waivers Division
  This division is charged with the evaluation and issuance of teaching credentials, certificates, and permits for public school teachers for the State of California.

• National Board Certification
  An NEA page about National Board Certification (NBC), a voluntary, advanced teaching credential that goes beyond state licensure. NBC has national standards for what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do.
